Strategies
- Assemble a Rose Design Build team of experienced architects, project managers and superintendents to oversee the design/build process from start to finish
- Consult with Dr. Romain’s team and technicians to establish the needs and desires of the hospital staff and incorporate them into a highly functional floor plan design
- Design/build with keen awareness of current and future AAHA regulations, ensuring the continued AAHA accreditation of the facility
- Standardized materials and construction techniques were used to maximize energy efficiency and respect budget restraints
Results
- A 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that exceeded the owner’s expectations, as well as won a Merit Award in the 2003 Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Competition.
- Functional floor plan was achieved using a pinwheel design that allows for increased traffic flow for staff, visitors and the animals
- The prominent new location, high-tech facility and quality of the design and construction led to a 43% growth in Dr. Romain’s client growth within the first ten months of opening the new hospital
